# Zomerlinde 'Zelzate'

## Tilia platyphyllos 'Zelzate' ®

Zomerlinde 'Zelzate' (Tilia platyphyllos 'Zelzate') is een Belgische cultivar van zomerlinde met rechtopgaande groei die uitstekend geschikt is voor laanbeplanting waar uniforme groei en bijenvoeding centraal staan. Deze boom wordt 15-20 meter hoog en heeft grote, hartvormige bladeren met geurende bloemen in hangende clusters die juni verschijnen en bijen massaal aantrekken. Plant heeft meer rechtopgaande groei dan gewone zomerlinde en werd geselecteerd voor betere laanboom-eigenschappen.

Bloemen verschijnen vroeger dan bij winterlinde en hebben intense honiggeur. Bladeren zijn groter dan bij winterlinde en hebben wollige onderkant. Zomerlinde 'Zelzate' is perfect voor stedelijke laanbeplanting waar inheemse bomen met voorspelbare groei gewenst zijn.

De zomerlinde stelt weinig eisen aan de bodem, geef de boom een zonnige standplaats.

### Onderhoud

Plant zomerlinde 'Zelzate' in volle zon in diepe grond. Boom heeft veel ruimte nodig voor ontwikkeling.

Snoei jonge boom voor rechte kroonstructuur. Profiteer van natuurlijke rechtopgaande groei.
