# Winterlinde

## Tilia cordata 'Rancho'

Winterlinde (Tilia cordata) is een inheemse boom met hartvormige bladeren en geurende bloemen die uitstekend geschikt is voor grote tuinen waar schaduw en bijenvoeding centraal staan. Deze boom wordt 20-30 meter hoog en heeft kleine, hartvormige bladeren met clusters van zeer geurende, geel-witte bloemen die juni-juli verschijnen en bijen massaal aantrekken.

De bloemen hangen aan karakteristieke vleugelvormige schutbladen en hebben intense honiggeur die kilometers ver te ruiken is tijdens bloei. Plant heeft regelmatige kroonvorm en kleine, hartvormige bladeren. Belangrijk voor bijenkast-nabijheid en honing-produktie. Winterlinde is essentieel voor grote tuinen waar bijenvoeding en inheemse schaduwbomen centraal staan.

##  Belangrijke zaken om te weten 

### Waar plaatsen

De winterlinde stelt weinig eisen aan de bodem, geef de boom een zonnige standplaats.

### Onderhoud

Plant winterlinde in volle zon tot halfschaduw in diepe grond. Boom heeft veel ruimte nodig.

Snoei jonge boom voor goede kroonstructuur. Oude bomen hebben minimale snoei nodig.

Water eerste jaren regelmatig. Plan nabij bijenkast voor optimale honing-opbrengst indien gewenst.
