## Gleditsia triacanthos 'Sunburst'

Valse christusdoorn 'Sunburst' (Gleditsia triacanthos 'Sunburst') is een doornloze cultivar met spectaculaire goudgele voorjaarsbladtint die geleidelijk vergroent en uitstekend geschikt is voor kleuraccenten in moderne landschappen. Deze boom wordt 12-15 meter hoog en heeft dubbel geveerde bladeren die uitlopen in helder goudgeel en langzaam vergroenen naar zomer, met elegante vaasachtige kroon.

De jonge bladeren zijn spectaculair goudgeel in voorjaar en vroege zomer, wat uniek kleureffect geeft. Plant heeft geen doorns en is meestal zaadloos. Bladeren geven lichte, gefilterde schaduw en hebben prachtige gele herfstverkleuring. Valse christusdoorn 'Sunburst' is perfect voor tuinen waar kleuraccenten en seizoensvariatie centraal staan.

Vochthoudende, goed doorlatende, neutraal tot kalkrijke grond.​ Goed bestand tegen hitte en droogte. Redelijk windbestendig. Ook toepasbaar in verharding.

Verschilt van G. triacanthos 'Skyline' door het lichtgroene blad; wordt ook minder breed.

### Onderhoud

Plant valse christusdoorn 'Sunburst' in volle zon in normale grond. Vol zonlicht intensiveert bladkleur.

Snoei jonge boom licht voor vorm. Vermijd zware snoei die kleurintensiteit kan verminderen.

Water eerste jaren regelmatig. Plant voor kleuraccent tegen donkere achtergrond voor maximum effect.
