Deze plant wordt 60-100 cm hoog en heeft diep ingesneden, grijsgroene bladeren met witte, gele of roze bloemen die bestaan uit een gele schijf omringd door straalbloemkronen. De bloemen lijken op grote madeliefjes en verschijnen ononderbroken van mei tot vorst. Plant heeft houtige basis en kan meerjarig zijn in milde winters. Moderne cultivars hebben verbeterde weersbestendigheid en langere bloeiduur dan oudere types. Struikmargriet is perfect voor mediterrane containers waar langdurige bloei en droogteverdraagzaamheid gewenst zijn. Plant hem in goed doorlatende grond en kies een beschutte locatie om de plant te beschermen tegen harde wind. Het groeit het beste in gematigde klimaten en vereist regelmatig onderhoud. De plant kan in borders, bloembedden, hangmanden en potten worden geplant. ### Cultivars (Soorten) Struikmargriet is een bloeiende plant met verschillende soorten, waaronder Argyranthemum frutescens, 'Butterfly', 'Comet', Madeira', en 'Golden Butterfly'. Deze variëteiten hebben verschillende bloemkleuren en groei-eigenschappen, maar staan allemaal bekend om hun overvloedige bloei. Argyranthemum is geschikt voor borders, containers en hangmanden, en voegt een kleurrijke touch toe aan tuinen. Kies een soort die past bij je groeiomstandigheden en persoonlijke voorkeuren. ### Onderhoud Plant struikmargriet in volle zon in goed doorlatende grond. Plant verdraagt droogte goed eens gevestigd. Knip uitgebloeide bloemen weg voor continue bloei. Water regelmatig maar laat grond tussen watergiften opdrogen. Bemest maandelijks voor optimale bloei.
