# Spierstruik - Spirea (Little Princess)

## Spiraea japonica ‘Little Princess'

Spierstruik-Spirea 'Little Princess' (Spiraea japonica 'Little Princess') is een zeer compacte cultivar met roze bloemen die perfect geschikt is voor kleine tuinen en voorste rijen van borders waar lage, bloeiende struiken gewenst zijn. Deze struik wordt slechts 60-80 cm hoog en breed en heeft kleine bladeren met dichte clusters van roze bloemen die juni-augustus verschijnen.

De bloemen zijn lichtroze en verschijnen in platte schermen boven het fijngetande bladerwerk. Plant heeft zeer compacte, bolvormige groei en bloeit rijkelijk op nieuw hout. Cultivar werd geselecteerd voor kleinere tuinruimtes waar gewone spirea te groot zou worden. Spierstruik 'Little Princess' is essentieel voor kleine tuinen waar compacte bloeiende struiken nodig zijn.

##  Belangrijke zaken om te weten 

### Waar plaatsen

Spiraea japonica ‘Little Princess' stelt geen eisen aan de bodem. Hij staat mooi in haagvorm, maar ook als solitair komt hij volledig tot zijn recht. Door zijn laagblijvend karakter past hij mooi als aanvulling in een plantenborder.

### Onderhoud

Plant spirea 'Little Princess' in volle zon in normale tuingrond. Plant groeit in vrijwel alle omstandigheden.

Snoei licht in maart of na bloei. Compacte groei vereist minimale snoei. Knip uitgebloeide bloemen weg.

Water eerste jaar regelmatig. Gevestigde plant is zeer onderhoudsarm en droogteverdragend.

'Little Princess' werd ontwikkeld voor moderne kleinere tuinruimtes en toont hoe kweek inspringt op veranderende tuinbehoeften.

Cultivar bewijst dat kleine niet betekent minder mooi - compacte planten kunnen even indrukwekkend zijn.
