# Solanum crispum

## Solanum crispum

Solanum crispum is een semi-wintergroene klimplant uit Chili met aardappelachtige bloemen in paars-blauw en oranje bessen die uitstekend geschikt is voor warme, beschutte muren. Deze klimplant wordt 4-6 meter hoog en heeft ovale bladeren met clusters van vijfbladige bloemen die lijken op kleine aardappelbloemen en juni-oktober verschijnen.

De bloemen hebben vijf paarse of blauwe bloemblaadjes met gele meeldraden en verschijnen in dichte clusters. Na bloei ontwikkelen zich kleine oranje bessen. Plant klimt door zich om steunsels te wikkelen en heeft semi-wintergroen bladerwerk dat in milde winters aanhoudt. Solanum crispum is perfect voor mediterrane tuinen waar exotische klimplanten en warme microklimaten centraal staan.

### Waar plaatsen

​Geef een beschutte plaats in de volle zon en voldoende vochtige grond.

### Cultivars (Soorten)

'Glasnevin' is de beste voor tuin en terras, met bloemen tot 2,5 cm.

### Onderhoud

Plant Solanum crispum tegen warme, beschutte zuidmuur in goed doorlatende grond. Plant heeft veel warmte nodig.

Bind aan stevige steunconstructie. Snoei in voorjaar door oude en beschadigde takken weg te nemen.

Bescherm tegen strenge vorst met vlies. Water regelmatig tijdens groei, minder in winter.
