Deze klimmer wordt 1-2 meter hoog en bloeit van juni tot oktober met intensief geurende bloemen die uitstekend zijn als snijbloem. De plant klimt via ranken aan steunen omhoog. De bloemen hebben een zoete, honingachtige geur die het sterkst is in de avond. Regelmatig plukken stimuleert nieuwe bloei. Plant heeft klimmende stengels met geveerde bladeren en ranken. Zaai direct in de tuin in het voorjaar of kweek voor onder glas voor vroegere bloei. Reukerwt is perfect voor cottage gardens en romantische tuinen. Hij staat graag zonnig en beschut tegen wind. Zorg voor een humusrijke bodem: voeg compost toe aan de bodem bij aanplant. Plantdichtheid: 5 - 6 per m² ### Cultivars (Soorten) Diverse series: 'Mammouth', 'Royal', 'Spencer'. ### Onderhoud Zaai reukerwt in maart-april direct op plaats in koele, vruchtbare grond. Verwijder uitgebloeide bloemen. ### Dit wist je nog niet: Reukerwt werd al in de 17e eeuw gekweekt in Engeland en was zeer populair in Victoriaanse tuinen vanwege de intense geur.
