# Purperklokje

## Heuchera micrantha var. diversifolia 'Palace Purple'

Purperklokje (Heuchera) is een veelzijdige vaste plant met decoratieve bladeren in vele kleuren en sierlijke bloemen in dunne aren die uitstekend geschikt is voor schaduwborders en containers. Deze plant wordt 20-40 cm hoog en heeft hartvormige bladeren in groen, paars, oranje, zilver of bont met kleine bloemen in wit, roze of rood op dunne stelen.

De bladeren zijn het belangrijkste decoratieve element en verkrijgbaar in talloze kleuren en patronen. Bloemen verschijnen mei-juli in luchtige aren boven het bladerwerk. Plant vormt compacte pollen en is wintergroen in milde winters. Purperklokje is essentieel voor borders waar decoratieve bladplanten en kleuraccenten centraal staan.

##  Belangrijke zaken om te weten 

### Waar plaatsen

Plant purperklokje niet in de volle zon, de middagzon kan het blad verbranden. Plantdichtheid: 7 - 10 per m²

### Cultivars (Soorten)

Zeer groot aantal variëteiten, met groen tot bijna zwarte bladeren.

### Onderhoud

Plant purperklokje in halfschaduw in goed doorlatende grond. Plant verdraagt schaduw goed maar kleurt beter in licht.

Verwijder oude bladeren in voorjaar. Knip bloemen weg tenzij gewenst voor snijbloemen. Verdeel om de 3-4 jaar.

Water regelmatig maar vermijd wateroverlast. Mulch licht in winter. Bemest licht in voorjaar.

### Dit wist je nog niet:

Heuchera is vernoemd naar Johann Heinrich von Heucher, Duitse botanicus. Plant werd 'koraalklokjes' genoemd.

Moderne kweek heeft geleid tot explosie van kleuren - van bijna zwart tot felgeel en alle tussenvormen.
