# Noorse esdoorn 'Columnare'

## Acer platanoides 'Columnare'

Noorse esdoorn 'Columnare' (Acer platanoides 'Columnare') is een smalle, zuilvormige boom met vijflobbige bladeren en gele herfstverkleuring die perfect is voor kleine tuinen waar hoogte gewenst is zonder breedte-inname. Deze cultivar wordt 12-15 meter hoog maar slechts 4-6 meter breed en behoudt zijn smalle vorm zonder snoei.

De boom heeft de karakteristieke vijflobbige esdoornbladeren en gele bloemen in vroeg voorjaar voor bladuitloop. Plant heeft een dichte, zuilvormige kroon en prachtige gele herfstverkleuring. Zaadjes hebben vleugelvruchten zoals andere esdoorns. Noorse esdoorn 'Columnare' is essentieel voor kleine tuinen waar verticale accenten zonder ruimte-inname gewenst zijn.

##  Belangrijke zaken om te weten 

### Waar plaatsen

De boom is redelijk bestand tegen wind maar houdt niet van een te vochtige plek. Plant de Noorse esdoorn in de volle zon tot halfschaduw.

### Cultivars (Soorten)

A. platanoides 'Crimson Sentry' blijft lager (8 m) en heeft een kenmerkend rood blad; 'Globosum' of de bolesdoorn heeft een afgeplatte, bolvormige, zeer dichte en brede kroon, en wordt hooguit 6 m hoog; 'Frisine' is een opmerkelijke zuilvormige esdoorn met een lichtgroen blad met gele bladrand.

### Onderhoud

Plant Noorse esdoorn 'Columnare' in volle zon tot halfschaduw in goed doorlatende grond. Boom groeit in verschillende grondsoorten.

Minimale snoei nodig - alleen vorm-correcties en dode takken wegknippen. Respecteer natuurlijke zuilvorm.

Water regelmatig eerste jaren. Gevestigde boom is redelijk droogteverdragend. Bemest jaarlijks in voorjaar.

### Dit wist je nog niet:

'Columnare' is geselecteerde vorm van gewone Noorse esdoorn die van nature breed wordt. Cultivar werd begin 20ste eeuw ontwikkeld.

Boom behoudt alle eigenschappen van soort maar in smalle vorm, waardoor hij ideaal is voor moderne tuinen.
