# Klokjesbloem (takesimana)

## Campanula takesimana

Klokjesbloem takesimana (Campanula takesimana) is een krachtige vaste plant met grote, hangede klokjesbloemen in wit met roze stippen die van juni tot augustus verschijnen boven hartvormige bladeren.

Deze Koreaanse soort wordt 40-60 cm hoog en verspreidt zich via ondergrondse uitlopers tot stevige kolonies. De bloemen zijn opvallend groot (tot 7 cm lang) en hangen elegant aan gebogen stengels. Binnenkant is wit met roze stippen, buitenkant vaak roze getint. Plant vormt dichte pollen die zich geleidelijk uitbreiden. Klokjesbloem takesimana is perfect voor schaduwrijke borders waar grote, opvallende bloemen gewenst zijn.

##  Belangrijke zaken om te weten 

### Waar plaatsen

Klokjesbloem plant je in een goed doorlatende, voedzame grond op een plaatsje in de volle zon tot halfschaduw.Plantdichtheid: 3 - 5 per m²

### Cultivars (Soorten)

C. takesimana 'Elizabeth' kleurt donkerder rood; 'Alba' heeft zuiverwitte klokken.

### Onderhoud

Plant klokjesbloem takesimana in halfschaduw tot schaduw in vochtige, humusrijke grond. Plant verdraagt geen uitdroging.

Water regelmatig tijdens droge periodes. Knip uitgebloeide stengels weg voor mogelijke tweede bloei.

Beheers uitbreiding door overtollige uitlopers weg te nemen. Verdeel pollen om de 3-4 jaar voor verjonging.

### Dit wist je nog niet:

Campanula takesimana komt van het Koreaanse eiland Ulleung-do en is vernoemd naar de Takeshima (Japanse naam voor het eiland).
