# Japanse wasbloem

## Kirengeshoma palmata

Japanse wasbloem (Kirengeshoma palmata) is een zeldzame schaduwplant met grote, handvormige bladeren en elegante gele bloemen die lijken gemaakt van was en in late zomer verschijnen. Deze vaste plant wordt 80-120 cm hoog en heeft diep ingesneden bladeren die lijken op esdoornbladeren, maar zachter en groter zijn.

De gele bloemen hangen in kleine groepjes aan de stengels en hebben een unieke wasachtige textuur met dikke bloemblaadjes. Plant bloeit augustus-september wanneer weinig andere schaduwplanten bloeien, wat het extra waardevol maakt voor donkere tuinhoeken. ##  Belangrijke zaken om te weten 

### Waar plaatsen

De Japanse wasbloem plant je aan in een koele, humusrijke bodem op een plaatsje in de tuin in de halfschaduw of schaduw. Plantdichtheid: 5 - 7 per m²

### Cultivars (Soorten)

K. koreana wordt hoger (tot 1 m).

### Onderhoud

Plant Japanse wasbloem in diepe schaduw in constant vochtige, zure, humusrijke grond. Plant verdraagt geen zon of uitdroging.

Water regelmatig om grond constant vochtig te houden. Mulch zwaar met bladcompost om vocht en zuurgraad te behouden.

Laat plant met rust - verstoringen leiden tot achteruitgang. Verdeling is mogelijk maar moeilijk en niet altijd succesvol.

### Dit wist je nog niet:

Japanse wasbloem groeit wild in de bergwouden van Japan en Korea en is zeer moeilijk te kweken buiten natuurlijke habitat.

Plant wordt beschouwd als heilige graal onder schaduwtuiniers vanwege schoonheid en moeilijkheid van cultuur.
