Deze inheemse plant bloeit mei-juli met kleine, maar talrijke bloemen die een luchtige, romantische sfeer creëren. De plant vormt pollen van smalle bladeren die lijken op siergrassen, maar in werkelijkheid behoren tot de leliefamilie. De bloemen zijn zuiver wit met opvallende gele meeldraden en verschijnen in losse trossen op 60-80 cm hoge stengels. Graslelie is perfect voor natuurlijke tuinen en prairie-aanplantingen waar subtiele schoonheid en inheemse flora gewaardeerd worden. In de zomer kan je hem ook op je terras zetten! ### Onderhoud Plant graslelie in volle zon tot lichte schaduw in goed doorlatende, niet te rijke grond. Plant houdt van droge, schrale omstandigheden. Knip uitgebloeide stengels weg tenzij je zaad wilt verzamelen. Plant heeft verder weinig onderhoud nodig en zorgt voor zichzelf. Verdeel pollen om de 4-5 jaar in voorjaar. Water alleen bij extreme droogte - te veel vocht schaadt de plant. ### Dit wist je nog niet: Graslelie is een indicator voor schrale, onbemeste gronden en verdwijnt bij te veel voeding. Belangrijk voor behoud van kruidenrijke graslanden. Plant komt steeds minder voor in het wild door bemesting en intensivering van landbouw.
