# Gouden regen

## Laburnum anagyroides

Gouden regen (Laburnum) is een spectaculaire boom die in mei-juni letterlijk druipt van lange, hangende trossen goudgele bloemen die wel 30 cm lang kunnen worden. Deze middelgrote boom (6-8 meter) heeft drietallige bladeren en vormt na bloei peulen met zwarte zaden - alle delen van de boom zijn giftig.

De bloei duurt ongeveer 3 weken en is zo overvloedig dat de boom volledig geel kleurt. Na de spectaculaire bloeiperiode ontwikkelt zich een luchtige kroon met geveerd bladerwerk dat elegante schaduw werpt. Gouden regen is essentieel voor tuinen waar een korte maar spectaculaire bloeiperiode gewaardeerd wordt.

##  Belangrijke zaken om te weten 

### Waar plaatsen

De boom staat graag in de zon of in de half schaduw. Hij groeit goed op alle grondsoorten en vraagt enkel een goed doorlaatbare bodem die niet te nat is.

### Onderhoud

Plant gouden regen in volle zon tot lichte schaduw in goed doorlatende grond. Boom verdraagt kalk goed en groeit in verschillende grondtypen.

Snoei na bloei voor vorm, maar wees voorzichtig - boom bloedt sterk bij snoei. Verwijder zaadpeulen om zelfzaai te voorkomen.

Let op giftigheid bij plaatsing - plant niet waar kinderen spelen. Draag handschoenen bij alle werkzaamheden.
