# Daslook

## Allium ursinum

Daslook (Allium ursinum) is een inheemse bolplant die vroeg in het voorjaar bosgronden bedekt met tapijten van witte sterretjesbloemen. Deze wilde look heeft brede, lancetvormige bladeren die sterk naar knoflook geuren en is volledig eetbaar - van blad tot bloem tot bol.

De plant bloeit april-mei met elegante witte schermen op 20-40 cm hoge stelen boven het frisgroene bladerdek. Daslook verwildert gemakkelijk en vormt col colonies in vochtige, schaduwrijke plekken, perfect voor natuurlijke tuinen en bostuinen. Deze vergeten groente erleeft een renaissance in moderne keukens. Perfect voor schaduwrijke hoekjes waar weinig anders groeit.

##  Belangrijke zaken om te weten 

### Waar plaatsen

De bollen plant je in het najaar van oktober tot december, of in het voorjaar van februari tot maart. Daslook plant je in een voedselrijke, vochthoudende bodem op een schaduwrijke plaats. De plant staat mooi in groep, als onderbeplanting van bomen of struiken.

### Onderhoud

Plant bollen in de herfst in vochtige, humusrijke grond in (half)schaduw. Daslook houdt van dezelfde omstandigheden als boshyacinten en wilde narcissen.

Geen bijzondere verzorging nodig - de plant zorgt volledig voor zichzelf. Laat na bloei het zaad uitstrooien voor natuurlijke vermeerdering of verwijder bloeiaren voor minder verspreiding.

Oogst jonge bladeren voor de bloei voor de beste smaak. Plant verdraagt concurrentie van andere schaduwplanten goed.

### Dit wist je nog niet:

Daslook is een ecologische winnaar die vroege nectar biedt aan bijen en vlinders wanneer er nog weinig bloeit. De plant past perfect in voedselbossen en permacultuurtuinen.

Uitstekend als bodembedekker onder bomen en struiken. De antibacteriële eigenschappen helpen andere planten in de buurt gezond te houden - een natuurlijke metgezel.
